Improving Global Awareness of South China Sea Project Interventions Via Google Earth

South China Sea on Google Earth Google Earth has drawn in excess of 200 million installations since its launch in 2005. With this large community of users it has grown into a highly powerful platform for the dissemination of project outputs and information, and to facilitate the online sharing of information and examples of best practice in habitat and fisheries management at the global level. The South China Sea Project now has its own Google Earth layer, containing information about the project’s institutional network, suite of habitat demonstration sites, and a large number of site characterisations for coastal habitat areas in the South China Sea and Gulf of Thailand. Click here to launch the South China Sea project on Google Earth. The Google Earth application can be downloaded by clicking here.
