The
Pacific Climate Change Roundtable (PCCR) is a regional climate
change forum held once every two years. It is a forum for
Pacific Island Countries and Territories (PICTs), regional
and international development agencies and partners; Civil
Society and Non-Governmental Organizations, academic and
research institutions, and various groups and individuals
that are supporting PICTs in responding to climate change
issues in the region.
The
main aim of the roundtable is to facilitate regional coordination,
collaboration and coherence in the implementations of PICTs
climate change priorities consistent with the Pacific Islands
Framework for Action on Climate Change (PIFCC). The PCCR
is also the mechanism for monitoring and evaluation of national
and regional progress towards the implementation of PIFACC
The
Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme
(SPREP) is the convener and coordinator of the PCCR in collaborations
with CROP and key development partners.
