The TAFIRI-owned R/V Echo is a 11m fibreglass boat capable of long journeys along the Tanzanian coast. It is often used by the Pollution and Sedimentation programmes for routine sample collection. It is fitted with radar, GPS, echosounder, VHF and HF radio, solar panels, and winch equipment.
