Survey of Diabetes, Hypertension and Chronic Disease Risk Factors: Villa Nueva, Guatemala 2007 The objectives of this survey were to determine the prevalence of diabetes mellitus and hypertension in people 20 years of age and older in a sample taken from the Municipality of Villa Nueva, Department of Guatemala; determine the prevalence of factors considered of risk for diabetes and hypertension; and determine the relationship between the prevalence of these diseases and certain demographic, environmental, social, cultural, and economic factors.
