In October 22-28,
2006,
a
group of GMP representatives met with gold miners from the Tapajos
river basin in Creporizão, Pará, Brazil. The week long training event was
titled "Cuide de seu Tesouro" or Care for your
treasure; this was a very successful mission to educate
miners and encourage appropriate mining techniques. The
Aide Memoire describes the goals and objectives of the
training and includes the schedule and a list of participants. A
picture document has been assembled by the
coordinator, Rodolfo Neives.
