Second meeting of the Advisory Panel to the Strategic Framework for the Adaptation of the Mediterranean Marine and Coastal Areas to Climate Change
The second meeting of the Advisory Panel to the Strategic Framework for the Adaptation of the Mediterranean Marine and Coastal Areas to Climate Change will take place in Athens on 11 and 12 March 2015.
The objective of this second meeting of the Panel is to discuss, review and edit the scope, priorities and content of the draft Framework in order to reach an agreed upon document which can be then submitted to regional and national stakeholders and Focal Points, in view of its submission for adoption by the Contracting Parties to the Barcelona Convention at their 19th meeting in February 2016.
The Advisory Panel
has been established with the participation of leading experts in order
to capture the expertise and experiences of as many individuals,
organizations and initiatives as possible working on different aspects
of climate change adaptation.
The overall objective of the Framework is to identify and develop a
regional approach to climate change adaptation in the Mediterranean in
order to increase the resilience of the Mediterranean ecosystems,
infrastructure and communities to climate change.
