WWF MedPO: Towards sustainable fisheries in the Adriatic

WWF MedPO and Sunce, within the MedPAN South Project pilot project in Croatia, has organized a 2-day training workshop on 31 January- 2 February 2012 in Split. The objective of this event was to gather representatives of the nature protection sector, both at MPAs and government levels, scientists and fisheries professionals to discuss the state of fisheries in the Adriatic sea, identify the problems and obstacles and envisage the solutions that can lead to sustainability. Forty five professionals took part, including the Assistant Minister from the Ministry of Environment and Nature Protection, Mr. Nenad Strizrep.
