Developing Skills of NGOs: Local Environmental Action Programmes

To respond to the training needs of environmental NGOs in South Eastern Europe, a set of user-friendly guides was produced in the series Developing Skills of NGOs. Experts from SEE were involved in producing the guides, ensuring that the lessons contained met the specific needs of the region. The training guides are written for trainers but are also useful for NGO members seeking to develop their skills and knowledge on a particular topic. Each guide contains a concise discussion of the subject matter, lesson ideas on how the material can be taught, and a concrete timetable for a short seminar.

This guide is designed for community leaders who wish to develop a Local Environmental Action Programme within their local community, combining knowledge attained from the training with local expertise and taking into account the specifics of their communities.
