Vaccination Week in the Americas:
Present and Future
This 6-minute video is a retrospective of the first four years of Vaccination Week in the Americas, produced by the Pan American Health Organization, Area of Public Information. This event represents an historic effort promoted by the PAHO, Health Ministries of all the countries of the Americas, International Agencies, NGO's and entire communities. Vaccination Week in the Americas has already achieved worldwide recognition. This video depicts—with emotion as well as factual information—the successes of this campaign and the introduction during this week of new and creative health strategies that go beyond immunization. In April 2007 Vaccination Week in the Americas will celebrate its 5th Anniversary. Here we expect to consolidate the successes achieved until now, on the way to a Global Vaccination Week.
