Justice
Justice and the rule of law are two fundamental pillars of a free state. Without a fair and prudent system of justice no country can deem itself to be truly free and democratic and the viability of such states is severely jeopardized in the long term. As such, the OAS is devoted in supporting its member states to strengthen these principles. Its efforts in this area have helped sustain the promotion and respect for the rule of law in the Americas, and thus have aided in shaping a stable and just region.
