Description:

 Eksteenfontein Tourism Information Office was opened in March 2001. One of the tourguides of the South-North Tourisme Route Association is handling all the administration work in the office.

Aims of the Information Office:
- to collect information and supply it to tourists and the local community
- to develop tourism
- to see that the finances will be handling and spend on the right way
- to create possible job opportunities
- to see that the community can be benefit by tourism
- to link with the Integrated Development Plan of the Richtersveld
- Handling the bookings of the two community-based guesthouses of Eksteenfontein

KOM RUS 'N BIETJIE GUESTHOUSE:
Is situated in Eksteenfontein and is run by Eksteenfontein Women Association.
- Good installed kitchen for self-catering ( meals can also be arranged)

- 1 toilet

Camping outside the Guesthouse:
- making use of outside ablution facilities
- please bring own bedding

ROOIBERG GUESTHOUSE
Is situated about 17km out of Eksteenfontein in the proposed Rooiberg Conservancy Area and is run by the Rooiberg Committee
- Good installed kitchen for self-catering ( meals can also be arranged )
- 1 Lounge
- 3 Sleeping rooms
- 1 Bathroom
- 1 Shower
- 2 toilets
- also a honeymoon suite with its own double bed , toilet and shower
- no electricity ( making use of parrafin lamps, candles and gas )
Camping outside the guesthouse
- Making use of the kitchen and ablution facilities of the
guesthouse
- wood and water is available
